I like this poem very much because it signifies what a woman must be like – strong, beautiful, kind, loving, and wise – in this poem, every woman is praised and respected. Bravo! m Revealed myself at...[7:39 AM]
William Wordsworth William Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770, in Equally important in the poetic life of Wordsworth was his 1795 meeting with the poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It was with Coleridge that Wordsworth published the famous Lyrical Ballads in 1798. While the poems themselves are some of the most influential in Western literature, it is the preface to the second edition that remains one of the most important testaments to a poet's views on both his craft and his place in the world. In the preface Wordsworth writes on the need for "common speech" within poems and argues against the hierarchy of the period which valued epic poetry above the lyric. Wordsworth's most famous work, The Prelude (1850), is considered by many to be the crowning achievement of English romanticism. The poem, revised numerous times, chronicles the spiritual life of the poet and marks the birth of a new genre of poetry. Although Wordsworth worked on The Prelude throughout his life, the poem was published posthumously. Wordsworth spent his final years settled at Rydal Mount in Revealed myself at...[6:03 AM]
She was a phantom of delight
When first she gleam'd upon my sight;
A lovely apparition, sent
To be a moment's ornament;
Her eyes as stars of twilight fair;
Like twilight's, too, her dusky hair;
But all things else about her drawn
From May-time and the cheerful dawn;
A dancing shape, an image gay,
To haunt, to startle, and waylay.
I saw her upon nearer view,
A Spirit, yet a Woman too!
Her household motions light and free,
And steps of virgin liberty;
A countenance in which did meet
Sweet records, promises as sweet;
A creature not too bright or good
For human nature's daily food;
For transient sorrows, simple wiles,
Praise, blame, love, kisses, tears, and smiles.
And now I see with eye serene
The very pulse of the machine;
A being breathing thoughtful breath,
A traveller between life and death;
The reason firm, the temperate will,
Endurance, foresight, strength, and skill;
A perfect Woman, nobly plann’d,
To warn, to comfort, and command;
And yet a Spirit still, and bright
With something of angelic light.

Who among you here are studying at schools with an English Language Policy that won't allow you to speak any language but English? It's tiring, right? Well, we do get a break when it's time for our Filipino and Social Studies subjects. But, it's become the least of the concern nowadays.
"Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa ang amoy sa mabahong isda"
I mean, it's not that many of us cannot speak the English language fluently, in fact, more than half of the current population of students and working people can speak the language well, if not fluently. Our teachers are really concerned about this policy, you know.
My point is, why are we forced to speak the language that aren't ours?
I admit, I'm a lover of the language but that's simply because I'm greatly enthralled with its history and my curiosity really got the most out of me in this quarter. But alas, because of this policy, many of the Filipino students nowadays (which include me) cannot speak in perfect Filipino language anymore. And that's what terrifies me most.

You’re the reason for my existence I can’t imagine things if that’ll happen I won’t live for the rest of my life But for your heart so genuine and honest. Revealed myself at...[8:29 AM]

Well, I am Patricia Nicole, you can call me Cacay if you like, and I am 14 years old. This blog is created so that I could express myself to the fullest. You know, suppressing what you feel in a shell that only few can penetrate is very frustrating -- it could drive you insane!
I decided that I don't want to be enclosed in an impenetrable shell anymore, that's why I created this blog. This will be about the things that I want to reveal. I wanted to reveal it differently and more subtly and the only way i know how to do this is through POETRY.
Through this page, I can sing my heart out to the fullest.
Often times, ugly and sad things happen in my life. Through poetry, I believe, I can turn these ugly and sad moments into beautiful and moving words so that we can all see the bright side and voila! I'm happy and carefree again.
In this page, I will also clip in some of my favorite poems made by some great poets. through this, you'll have some idea about the origin and etymology of poetry and how it evolved all throughout the ages.
This will be the beginning of the REVELATIONS. Revelations that will soon be read by people who care enough. Well, I intend to make each entry an enjoyable and informative one. Have fun!
